About this job
Our company, a scrap metal processor in Zanesville, OH, is looking for a CDL-A driver to run dump and roll-off work with no overnight trips. Roll-off or dump experience is a plus but not required.
Pay
- Starts at $28.00 per hour
- Overtime available
Home time
- Home every day, no overnight runs
What you'll do
- Haul materials between plants, mills, and distribution centers
- Check your truck for mechanical or safety problems and keep up with routine maintenance
- Plan your routes to hit delivery windows
- Follow all size, weight, route, parking, and break regulations along with company procedures
- Position the truck for loading and unloading
- Confirm delivery details and report any accidents, violations, or equipment issues
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving history (no recent violations)
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- 1 year of dump truck or roll-off experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of trucking regulations
- Able to work long hours and adjust to changing road or weather conditions
- Must be able to commute to Zanesville, OH 43701
