CDL-A Driver Trainee — $21/hr Training Pay, $90K–$95K After

Our company is hiring a Driver Trainee in Lockbourne, OH to learn the ropes of commercial driving while working toward a Class A CDL. You'll train alongside an experienced driver, learning delivery routes and safe operating practices, with a clear path to a full driving role.

Pay

• $21.00 an hour while you're in training

• Once trained, drivers typically earn $90,000 to $95,000 a year

What you'll do

• Hook up and secure trailers to tractors

• Ride along with a trainer, observing safe driving, backing, and maneuvering techniques

• Inspect equipment before and after trips and file DOT inspection reports

• Use a handheld device to log deliveries, temperatures, and any exceptions

• Keep driver logs in line with DOT rules

• Help unload trailers and bring product into customer locations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Earn your Class A CDL within 6 months of starting

• Able to lift, climb, bend, and handle physical tasks involved in loading and delivery

• Comfortable with basic math and reading shipping documents

• Sufficient English skills to understand safety instructions and job communications

• Subject to background check and drug screening
