About this job
Our company in Wilkes-Barre, PA is looking for a CDL-A driver to deliver food and foodservice products on overnight routes, Monday through Saturday, with two scheduled hotel layovers each week.
Pay
- Training pay is guaranteed at $1,500 per Week
- Once training ends, drivers average $100,000 Annually
- Drivers with 1+ Year(s) of Foodservice Delivery Experience can earn a sign-on bonus Up to $10,000
Home time
- Overnight schedule runs Monday through Saturday
- Two hotel layovers are built into the weekly schedule
What you'll haul
- Tractor trailers and straight trucks carrying food and food-related products
- Routes include local, over-the-road, shuttle, and drive-and-drop assignments
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- At least 12 months of commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 21
- Clean driving record for the last 3 years
- Must pass a drug screen and road test after offer
- Current or obtainable DOT Health Card
- Ability to lift and move product cases weighing roughly 10 to 90 pounds using hand trucks, lift gates, or similar equipment
What you'll do
- Handle pickup, delivery, and unloading of customer orders
- Run DOT-required safety checks on the tractor and trailer before and after each trip
- Secure and verify freight, complete delivery paperwork, and collect signatures
- Accept payment when needed and process customer returns
- Log hours of service accurately under DOT and company rules
- Keep the truck and dock area clean and organized
