CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver — $35.76–$40.24/hr + $5,000 Bonus

Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Norwich, CT. You'll run routes delivering foodservice products, unloading by hand at each stop, and building strong relationships with customers along the way.

Pay

• Starting rate of $35.76 per hour, moving up to $40.24 per hour after 6 months on the job

• Paid weekly

• $5,000 retention bonus for new hires who qualify

• Overtime pay may also apply

Schedule

• Six-day workweek, Monday through Saturday, with one weekday off and Sundays always free

• Dispatch time falls between 2 am and 5 am

What you'll haul

• Foodservice deliveries to customers, fully touch freight

• You'll unload using a two-wheeler, a ramp, or by hand, placing items where they belong

• You'll confirm each delivery and get customer signatures, and handle collections or payments where needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 21 years old

• Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or 3 months specifically in food or beverage delivery

• Comfortable driving and working outdoors in all kinds of weather, with frequent stops (10 or more per shift)

• Able to work in temperatures as low as 0 degrees

• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and lowering loads from 20 to over 80 lbs repeatedly through a shift, along with regular bending, reaching, climbing and similar movement

• Manual transmission skills preferred, and may be required depending on location

• Strong enough English skills to read road signs, communicate with others, and complete reports
