CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver — $29.96–$35.25/hr

Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Wixom, MI to run local foodservice delivery routes, handling 100% touch freight from the truck to the customer's storage area.

Pay

• Training pay starts at $29.96 per hour.

• Once training ends, you can switch to component pay, calculated from stops, miles, and cases.

• The expected base rate for this role runs from $29.96 to $35.25 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and location.

• You may also qualify for overtime pay in addition to base or component pay.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday.

• Shifts begin between 3AM and 6AM.

What you'll haul

You'll deliver foodservice products on routes based out of Wixom, MI, driving through city streets and highways, backing into tight loading docks, and unloading by hand, ramp, or two-wheeler.

What the job involves

• Drive safely and deliver orders to customers on time.

• Unload shipments and place them in the correct storage spot - every delivery is touch freight.

• Confirm each delivery with the customer and get their signature.

• Represent our company professionally to keep customers happy.

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.

• Collect payments from customers where required.

• Take on other tasks as assigned by your manager.

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, or lower products weighing 20 to 80+ lbs throughout your shift.

• Drive and work outdoors in all weather, with 10 or more stops per shift.

• Work comfortably in temperatures as low as 0 degrees in multi-temp storage areas.

• Frequently sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, kneel, twist, reach overhead, and use fine hand coordination.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or 3 months specifically in food or beverage delivery.

• Able to operate a manual transmission; this may be required depending on the location.

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, respond to official requests, and fill out reports.

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federally required database tracking CDL holders' drug and alcohol violations.
