CDL-A Delivery Driver Trainee — $25.55/hr + $5,000 Bonus

Our company is looking for a CDL-A Delivery Driver Trainee to run routes out of Twinsburg, OH. You'll handle 100% touch freight, driving, unloading and building relationships with customers along your route.

Pay

• Starting rate of $25.55 per hour, plus overtime

• Base rate for this role ranges between $25.55/hour and $28.55/hour depending on experience, skills and location

• $5,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday, with flexibility needed for either a 4 or 5 day week

• Shifts begin between 3am and 6am

• Based in Twinsburg, OH

What you'll do

• Get products to customers safely and on time

• Unload freight by hand, ramp or two-wheeler and place it where it belongs

• Confirm deliveries and get customer signatures

• Represent the company well and keep customer service a priority

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks

• Handle collections or payments on some accounts

• Take on other tasks as assigned

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull or lower loads from 20 to over 80 lbs each shift

• Work outside in all weather, with 10 or more stops per shift

• Handle temperatures as low as 0 degrees in multi-temp environments

• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, climbing and standing throughout the shift

Requirements

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by the Department of Transportation for all CDL holders)

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• Under six months of commercial driving experience overall, or under three months in food/beverage delivery

• Manual transmission skills preferred and may be required at some locations

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, communicate with officials, and complete paperwork
