CDL-A Delivery Driver — No Overnight Travel

Our company's Distribution Center in Burlington, NC is hiring a full-time CDL-A driver to deliver food products to restaurant locations across NC, SC and VA. You'll load, haul and unload freight, with no overnight travel required.

What you'll do

• Load, transport and unload products for assigned store accounts, using hand trucks, ramps and carts as needed in areas of varying temperature

• Carry out a pre-trip inspection of your truck, tractor and trailer before each run

• Lift and carry items up to 60 pounds from hand-stacked loads or shrink-wrapped pallets out of a three-compartment trailer

• Sort deliveries by temperature zone at each stop, placing frozen, refrigerated and dry goods in their proper areas

• Follow all traffic laws, plus DOT and company safety rules

• Keep accurate DOT logs

• Keep your vehicle secure, safe and clean

• Treat every customer stop with prompt, professional service

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL for interstate driving

• At least 1 year of experience driving with a Class A CDL

• Minimum age 21 (required for interstate carriers)

• Clean motor vehicle record

• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

• Comfortable operating a hand truck on delivery ramps

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Must pass a background check, DOT physical and drug screening after a job offer

Food distribution or delivery experience is a plus but not required.
