About this job
Our company in Walton, KY is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to run food and food-service deliveries on local, OTR, shuttle, and drive-and-drop routes. You'll be dispatched early morning Monday through Friday and home every day.
Pay
- Average annual earnings of $90,000+
- $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply)

What you'll haul
- Food and food-related products delivered to customers on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, OTR, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop runs
What you'll do
- Handle pre- and post-trip inspections of your tractor and trailer per DOT rules, and flag any safety or repair issues
- Check that freight is loaded and secured correctly, and verify item counts against invoices
- Drive your assigned route and deliver orders on schedule
- Unload product and move it into customer storage areas, checking for damage along the way
- Get delivery confirmations and signatures from customers, and collect payment (cash or check) when needed
- Load customer returns and damaged goods back onto the trailer and secure it
- Log your hours of service accurately each day per DOT and company rules
- Keep your truck and the dock area clean, and handle other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Minimum age 21
- Clean MVR for the past 3 years
- Must pass a post-offer drug screen, criminal background check, and road test
- Valid DOT Health Card, or able to obtain one
- Able to lift product by hand and use a two-wheeler, lift gate, or similar equipment to move cases generally weighing 10-35 pounds, and sometimes up to about 60-90 pounds depending on location
