CDL-A Delivery Driver — Home Daily, $80,000–$95,000/yr

Our company in Elsmere, KY is looking for a CDL-A driver to deliver product to Chick-fil-A restaurants using newer trucks and equipment. You'll be home every day and work a set overnight schedule with Saturdays off.

Schedule

• Sunday through Friday, starting between 6pm and 10pm and running until the work is finished

• Saturdays off for all drivers

• Typically 40 to 45+ hours weekly, depending on available routes

• Occasional weekend, holiday, or shift flexibility may be needed based on business needs

• About 5% travel for operator visits, supplier visits, and conferences

Pay

• Guaranteed minimum pay for 40 hours, with yearly earnings between $80,000 and $95,000 depending on your driving experience

• Time-and-a-half style overtime for anything worked past 40 hours a week

What you'll haul

• Deliver to 4-6 Chick-fil-A restaurants per shift within their delivery windows

• Unload and stage product at each stop, and handle pickups/returns like pallets and carts with the right paperwork

• Help unload the truck and put equipment away back at the distribution center

Equipment

• New automatic Kenworth T680 tractors with leather air-ride seats, GPS, and backup/side cameras

• 48-inch Great Dane trailers with electric side lift gates, gutter guards, and tandem lights

• Battery-powered pallet jacks for moving product into restaurants

• Samsara mobile devices showing parking and unload info at each stop, plus in-cab ELD charging

• On-site mechanics to keep trucks running

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience

• Class A CDL from your state of residence

• At least 21 years old

• Must live within 60 miles of the Elsmere, KY distribution center

• Pass a DOT Clearinghouse application, MVR check, medical card, drug test, and background check

• No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the last 3 years

• No more than 2 of the same type of moving violation in the last 3 years, no more than 3 total moving violations in that time, and no DUI/DWI in the past 10 years

• Able to work in temperatures from -10F to 100F, often at night and in all weather

• Able to lift up to 65 pounds repeatedly per case, and occasionally use equipment to move up to 2,000 pounds

• Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking English for instructions, paperwork, and scanner prompts

• Prior food service or key-drop delivery experience is a plus but not required
