CDL-A Delivery Driver — $34.97–$39.35/hr + $5,000 Bonus

Our company in Norwich, CT is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to bring food products to customers on local routes. You'll start at a strong hourly rate with a raise after six months, plus a signing bonus.

Pay

• Starting rate of $34.97 per hour, rising to $39.35 per hour after 6 months on the job

• $5,000 retention bonus

• Overtime pay may apply

• Final rate depends on your experience, skills and location

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday, with one weekday off

• Dispatch time is between 2 am and 4 am

• Expect to work roughly 45 to 50 hours per week

What you'll do

• Drive safely to customer sites and hit scheduled delivery windows

• Unload freight by hand, two-wheeler or pallet jack and place it where customers want it

• Confirm orders are correct with customers and get signatures

• Collect payments from customers when needed

• Represent the company well through good customer service

• Check your equipment before and after each trip

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push or pull items weighing 20 to 80+ lbs throughout your shift

• Work outdoors in all kinds of weather, with 10 or more stops per shift

Requirements

• Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by the Department of Transportation)

• At least 21 years old

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or 3 months in food or beverage delivery

• Manual transmission skills preferred, and may be mandatory depending on location

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, communicate with officials and fill out reports
