About this job
Our company, a major candy, snack and beverage distributor, is looking for a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Bolingbrook, IL. You'll run local and some overnight regional routes, delivering food and beverage products to customers on newer equipment.
Pay
- Starting rate of $30.90
- Quarterly safety bonuses
Schedule
- Mostly Monday through Friday
- Some regional overnight routes when needed
What you'll haul
- Food and food-related products on tractor trailers or straight trucks, running local, OTR, shuttle, overnight and drive-and-drop routes
- Trucks have liftgate trailers and electric pallet jacks
- About 80% of stops are drop-and-go pallet deliveries
Requirements
- CDL-A
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 6 months to 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Experience in foodservice distribution is a plus
- Familiarity with onboard computer and electronic logging systems (such as PeopleNet) is a plus
- Experience with handheld point-of-delivery scanners (POD) is a plus
- Customer service experience is a plus
- Must complete pre/post-trip inspections, follow DOT and company safety rules, and keep accurate delivery paperwork and logs
