CDL-A Delivery Driver — $24.50–$35.00/hr + Component Pay

Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Burlington, NC to run local routes delivering foodservice products to customers, starting out Monday through Friday with a 10 PM to 5 AM dispatch window.

Pay

• Base rate ranges from $24.50 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience, skills and location

• Additional component pay on top of base, tied to factors like cases, mileage or stops

Schedule

• Monday to Friday

• Dispatch time is 10 PM to 5 AM

What you'll do

• Drive trucks safely to customer sites and hit scheduled delivery windows

• Unload freight using a two-wheeler, pallet jack or by hand, placing items where the customer wants them stored

• Confirm each delivery is correct with the customer and collect the required signature

• Take payments or collections from customers when that applies

• Represent the company well through strong customer service

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your equipment

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push and pull product weighing 20 to 80+ lbs throughout the shift

• Work outside in all kinds of weather, with 10 or more stops expected per shift

Requirements

• Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by DOT for all drivers; visit clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/register to sign up if you haven't already)

• At least 21 years old

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months specifically in food or beverage delivery

• Manual transmission skills preferred, and may be required depending on the location

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, respond to official questions, and complete reports and records
