CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver — Avg. $1,600–$1,950/Week, Home Weekly

Schneider is hiring a dedicated company driver out of Roanoke, VA to run retail freight for Dollar General. You'll be home weekly and drive routes within MD, NC, SC, VA and WV.

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,600-$1,950.

• Pay combines mileage, load pay and hourly pay for on-duty, non-driving time.

• New drivers get at least $1,000 per week guaranteed during their first 90 days.

• Weekly performance pay on top of base pay.

• Experienced drivers can get a $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid monthly over your first year.

• Orientation is paid.

• Annual bonus of up to 2% of your yearly gross pay.

What you'll haul

• Retail freight on liftgate trailers for Dollar General.

• You'll hand unload everything yourself using rolltainers.

• Expect tight backing and slow-speed maneuvering on most stops.

• Typically 4 loads a week, each with several stops.

Home time

• Home every week.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.

• At least 3 months of Class A driving experience.

• Must live within 60 miles of Charlotte, NC; or within 85 miles of Greensboro, NC, Richmond, VA, Roanoke, VA or Winchester, VA; or within 100 miles of Lynchburg, VA, Raleigh, NC or Virginia Beach, VA.

• If you still need your CDL, Schneider offers company-paid training.
