CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver — $0.90/mi, Home Every Weekend

Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers based out of Chesapeake and Richmond, VA, running short, well-paying routes with weekends off. Both trainees and experienced drivers are welcome, and no endorsements are needed.

Pay

• $0.90 per mile

• Average weekly pay of $1,800 (posted range $1,700.00-$1,900.00 per week)

• About 1,000 miles a week

• $100 weekly safety bonus if you're available all 5 days, run the week with no accidents, incidents or HOS violations

• $20 per stop

• $40 extra for short hauls under 51 miles

• $240 for unloading

Home time

You'll be back home every weekend to rest and reset.

Schedule and lanes

• Full-time, driving rollers

• Both day and night shifts available

• You head out the day before an early-morning delivery, with occasional Saturday runs

• Freight is live-unload

What you'll haul

Roller equipment, delivered through live unloading, including floor loading at stops.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• Open to trainees and experienced drivers alike

• No endorsements required

• Must live within 70 miles of Chesapeake or Richmond, VA

• Able to handle floor loading and roller delivery

• Must be able to pass a hair follicle drug test

What you'll be doing

You'll drive your assigned routes safely, handle floor loads and roller deliveries at each stop, run pre- and post-trip inspections, keep your ELD logs accurate, follow DOT rules and company safety standards, and keep dispatch updated on how your trip is going.
