CDL-A Company Driver — Home Every Weekend, $80K–$90K/Year

Our company is looking for CDL-A company drivers to run dry van freight through the South and Midwest, with every weekend off. This is a no-touch, mostly drop-and-hook operation on a family-run fleet based in Durham, NC.

Pay

• First-year drivers typically earn $80,000 to $90,000

• Base pay starts at up to $0.62 per mile

• Driver Premium adds $0.25 per mile on any miles over 2,400 in a week

• Mileage pay is based on practical route miles, plus stop pay and detention pay

• Automatic raises of $0.005 per mile every 50,000 paid miles, until base pay hits $0.65 per mile (non-hazmat) or $0.67 per mile (hazmat)

• Scheduled pay reviews: two raises of $0.01 per mile in year one, one $0.01 raise in year two, one $0.01 raise in year three, then annual $0.005 raises from year four on with no cap

• Monthly safety and performance bonus of $0.02 per mile

• $2,500 sign-on bonus, with $750 paid after your first full week

• Orientation is one paid day, worth $150

Home time

• You're home every weekend

• Fleet average is about 48 hours of home time per week

What you'll haul

• Dry van freight, no-touch

• About half of loads are drop-and-hook

• Routes cover the South and Midwest regions

Equipment

• Volvo, Kenworth, and Mack trucks

• All trucks are 3 years old or newer with under 400,000 miles

• Automatic transmissions

• APUs and 1,800-watt power inverters

• Built-in GPS navigation

Requirements

• At least 1 year of verifiable CDL-A experience

• Minimum age 21

• Clean driving record: no more than 3 minor preventable incidents in the last 5 years, no more than 1 DOT-preventable accident in the past year

• No tickets for driving 15 mph or more over the limit

• No DUI, DWI, or DVI in the last 10 years

• No DOT drug or alcohol violations in the last 36 months
