CDL-A City Driver — $32.20–$37.27/hr

Our company is hiring a City Driver in Owatonna, MN to move freight between service centers and customers on local routes. This is a CDL-A role with specialized endorsements and a strong hourly pay rate.

Pay

• Hourly rate of $32.20 - $37.27 per hour, starting at $37.27/hour

• If you're assigned linehaul work, mileage pay runs 0.7377 - 0.8539 per mile, plus fixed amounts for certain linehaul tasks based on a fraction of your hourly rate

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable, as well as straight trucks

• General freight moved between our company service centers and customer locations

• Loads may include hazardous materials under DOT rules

What you'll do

• Pick up and drop off freight while supporting the sales process with customers

• Complete pre-trip inspections and connect/disconnect trailers and dollies

• Load and secure freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, straps and rope

• Handle required paperwork, follow dispatch instructions, and may collect payment for freight charges

• Step into road driver or dock duties when operationally needed

Requirements

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, hazmat and tank endorsements; hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 120 days of hire

• Automatic transmission restriction on your CDL is acceptable

• At least one year of driving experience in the past three years, or completion of the our company Driver Development Course

• Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT qualification standards under FMC Part 391

• Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds regularly and performing physical tasks like bending, twisting and climbing in/out of the truck

• Basic math and communication skills
