About this job
Our company is hiring one CDL-A driver to haul vehicles on a steady Florida to Michigan route, with door-to-door pickup and delivery. Previous car hauling experience is a plus but not required if you're reliable, safety-minded and ready to learn.
Pay
- You'll earn starting at 30% of the gross revenue per trip.
- Weekly pay runs $2,700.00 to $3,600.00, depending on which truck you run and trip performance.
- With the Kenworth automatic 7-car hauler, trips typically gross $9,000-$11,000, putting driver earnings around $2,700-$3,300 per trip at the 30% rate.
- With the Freightliner manual 9-car hauler, trips typically gross $10,000-$12,000, putting driver earnings around $3,000-$3,600 per trip at the 30% rate.
- These numbers are estimates only. What you actually take home depends on your efficiency, experience and how safely and compliantly you complete each run - nothing is guaranteed.
What you'll haul
- You'll run a consistent interstate lane between Florida and Michigan, handling door-to-door vehicle transport.
- Depending on qualifications and company approval, you can run either the automatic Kenworth with a 7-car trailer or the manual Freightliner with a 9-car trailer.
- Trips can sometimes wrap up in under a week, but timing shifts based on road conditions, delivery windows and hours-of-service limits.
What the job involves
- Safely moving vehicles between Florida and Michigan with door-to-door service.
- Loading, securing, inspecting and unloading vehicles the right way.
- Filling out condition reports and transport paperwork.
- Staying professional with customers and dispatch.
- Following company rules and DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Keeping an eye on equipment condition and flagging any issues early.
Requirements
- Active Class A CDL.
- Clean driving history.
- Dependable, honest and punctual.
- Open to learning proper car hauling techniques.
- Comfortable following safety procedures and company guidance.
- Good communication skills with customers and dispatch.
- Meets DOT qualification and medical standards.
- Car hauling background helpful but not mandatory.
- If you want the Freightliner, you'll need manual transmission skills and the right CDL endorsement.
Benefits
- Paid training.
- Truck and trailer supplied by the company.
- Pick between an automatic or manual rig, based on your qualifications.
- A steady, repeatable route rather than random freight.
- Chance to build real car hauling experience over time.
