CDL-A/B Truck Driver — Home Daily, $22.00–$31.00/hr

WM is hiring a CDL truck driver in Devils Lake, ND for a Monday through Friday schedule with an early start and home daily. Depending on the route, you'll handle commercial, residential or roll-off collection work.

What you'll do

• Drive heavy-duty trucks fitted with front, side or rear-load attachments, depending on your line of business

• Haul waste or recyclable material to a disposal, transfer or recycling site once your load reaches legal capacity

• On commercial routes, collect containers that can weigh over 1,000 pounds, sometimes wheeling them to a pickup spot, and navigate busy streets, driveways, alleys and lots with precise backing skills

• On residential routes, safely maneuver through neighborhood streets and tight spaces to collect household waste or recyclables

• On roll-off routes, prepare, load and haul large open-top or compactor containers from customer sites, including tight-clearance industrial areas

• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and DVIR paperwork

• Report safety concerns, service issues, accidents or property damage to your Route Manager or Dispatch right away

• Keep customer sites clean and fully empty their containers

• Join required training sessions and meetings, and help your Route Manager find ways to run routes more efficiently

Requirements

• No prior experience needed

• Able to read, write and speak English well enough to deal with the public, read road signs, answer official questions and fill out reports

• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the country where this job is based

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical

• CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement, or CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

• This is a safety-sensitive role; you'll need to follow all safety rules and be subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-incident, reasonable suspicion and random)
