About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL shuttle driver in Lansing, MI to transport passengers safely as part of the CATA transit system. This is a union position under a collective bargaining agreement, paying $21.20 per hour.
Pay
- $21.20 per hour
What you'll do
- Drive assigned routes and schedules while following all safety and traffic rules
- Help passengers board, ride comfortably, and get off safely
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Keep the vehicle clean and safety equipment ready
- Follow company policies including seat belt enforcement and emergency procedures
- Work a mix of day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts as scheduled
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrake endorsements
- At least 3 years of driving experience, personal or professional
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must pass a DOT drug test and physical; marijuana use is not permitted under DOT rules
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
