CDL-A/B Residential Driver — Home Daily, Day 1 Benefits

WM is looking for a CDL Residential Driver to collect household waste and recyclable material in the Orem, UT area. You'll be home daily and benefits start on day one.

What you'll do

• Drive a heavy-duty truck with a front, side, or rear-end load lift to collect residential waste and recycling

• Maneuver safely through residential streets, driveways, alleys, and busy traffic, including tight backing situations

• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and fill out the standard DVIR

• Fully empty containers and leave each customer location clean

• Follow your assigned route, finish end-of-day paperwork, and check out properly

• Report any safety concerns, service issues, accidents, injuries, or property damage to your Operations Manager or Dispatch right away

• Pass along customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch

• Join required training, meetings, and briefings, and help your Operations Manager find ways to run the route more efficiently

• Help other drivers when needed to keep customer service on track

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience driving a vehicle requiring a CDL, or 1 year of equivalent military driving within the past 7 years

• CDL Class A or Class B with an air-brake endorsement

• At least 18 years old and legally able to work in the country where this job is based

• Strong enough English skills to talk with the public, read traffic signs, answer questions from officials, and complete reports

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required

This is a safety-sensitive position, so you'll need to follow all safety rules and policies closely. Expect drug and alcohol testing at various points, including before hire, after any incident, when there's reasonable suspicion, and at random, per government and company rules.
