CDL-A/B OTR Independent Contractor Driver — $0.90–$1.35/mi

Our company is looking for independent contractor drivers to run OTR loads in CMVs. This is a 1099 contractor position, not a company driver or owner-operator role, and covers long-haul routes rather than local or regional work.

Pay

• You're paid per mile plus a fuel surcharge, which depends on your truck type, load miles and the weekly national fuel average.

• Most drivers spend no more than $1.45/gal out of pocket on fuel.

• All-in pay, including the fuel surcharge, runs $0.90 to $1.35 per mile depending on the load (wage range listed as $0.72 to $1.35 per mile).

• Same-day pay is available once you've submitted and verified all required paperwork and logs.

Bonuses

Several bonus programs are open to drivers who meet eligibility requirements, including:

• A referral bonus (a summer referral bonus pays up to $600 for each contracted driver you refer)

• A clean inspection bonus

• A mileage bonus

• A load bonus

• A safety bonus

What you'll haul

You choose which loads to run, but you need to stay active by completing 3-5 loads each month.

Requirements

• Class A or Class B CDL

• At least 1 full year of verifiable OTR CMV driving experience within the past 3 years

• A reasonably clean driving record and solid work history

• Knowledge of DOT hours-of-service rules, with daily logs kept in the MOTIVE app (paper logs won't be accepted)

• On-time arrival for every pickup and delivery

• Timely submission of all paperwork and documents

• Good communication skills, with a check-in to your dispatcher at least once a week even between loads

• A professional, positive attitude on the job
