About this job
Our company is looking for a long haul driver based in Charlottetown, PEI, running routes between the Maritimes and Montreal, Sunday through Thursday, with weekends off.
Pay
- $25.00/hour
Home time
- Home every weekend
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer freight on a dedicated Maritimes-to-Montreal lane
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with 1-3 years of long haul experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must meet company safety-sensitive standards and demonstrate safe operation of the truck and equipment
- Familiarity with air brakes on tractor-trailers
- Comfortable with pre-trip/post-trip inspections, daily paperwork, and route documentation
Responsibilities
- Drive the assigned route while following all safety rules and company policies
- Report mechanical issues and any accidents or incidents right away
- Keep the cab and exterior of the truck clean
- Wear required personal protective equipment such as gloves, vest, glasses and boots
- Work with your supervisor to improve route efficiency and attend safety meetings
