Casual Courier Driver — Flexible Shifts

Our company is looking for a Casual Courier based in Scarborough, ON to pick up and drop off packages on a set route, with flexible shift scheduling.

Schedule

• Shifts run up to 8 hours long, across a 5-day stretch, capped at 40 hours a week

• You need to work at least 4 shifts a month

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages along your assigned route

• Check shipments against our company service standards and make sure labels and paperwork are correct

• Load your van and plan your stops for efficient pickup and delivery

• Use onboard tracking and dispatch systems to log accurate information

• Answer customer questions about our company services, including Canada/US/international shipping rules

• Help bring in new business by passing sales leads to the sales team

• Depending on location, you may also help load or unload aircraft or containers and scan packages

Requirements

• Full valid Class G license (a G2 license will not be accepted)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Clean driving record, no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months

• One year of customer-facing work experience is preferred

• Familiarity with our company operations and Canadian customs rules is a plus

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and move packages up to 150 lbs with equipment

• Must pass the required pre-placement driving assessment

• Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills; able to stay organized under pressure
