About this job
Aaustin Express is hiring cargo van route drivers in Akron, OH, delivering for DHL Express. You would run about 40 stops a day in a newer van, working mostly weekdays.
Schedule
- Roughly 8-10 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with a few weekend days when volume is high.
- Monday and Wednesday to Friday run 9AM-5:30PM; Tuesday runs 7:30AM-5:30PM.
- You need to be free Sunday through Friday, with one rotating day off (never Monday).
- A good fit if you are tired of 200+ stops a day and constant weekend work from Amazon delivery.
Pay
- Starting at $16.25 an hour, with overtime after 40 hours in a week.
- Expected hours are 40-43 per week.
- Holidays you work pay holiday pay on top of your hourly rate.
What you'll do
- Make pickups and deliveries for DHL customers, from letters up to skids; the average package is under 10 lbs.
- Drive a newer cargo van and wear the uniforms provided.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 and able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Hold a clean driving record: no DUI/OWI ever, and no more than 2 minor moving violations in 36 months.
- No felony, theft or violence convictions.
- Pass pre-hire and random drug screens, including for THC.
- Take the delivery driver assessment on Indeed.
