Our company in Thornton, IL is looking for a dependable box truck driver for full-time delivery work. You'll be on the road at times, handling freight from pickup to drop-off while keeping things running safely and on schedule.
Pay
- $800.00 - $1,300.00 per week
What you'll do
- Drive a box truck on delivery routes, following all traffic and safety rules
- Load and unload freight by hand, with a pallet jack, or with a forklift
- Map out routes to stay efficient and hit delivery windows
- Check in with customers professionally during drop-offs
- Confirm shipments match paperwork and fill out delivery records
- Do regular pre-trip and post-trip checks on the truck
Schedule
- Full-time
- Be ready for trips away from home for up to 5 days at a time when needed
Requirements
- At least 25 years old
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Dependable, on time, and professional on the job
- Able to lift and handle freight
- Solid organizational and time-management skills
Preferred
- Past experience driving a box truck or doing deliveries
- Familiarity with DOT rules and safe driving practices
