Box Truck Driver — $2,000–$2,600/Week

This is a box truck driving job based in Columbus, OH, paying $2,000.00 - $2,600.00 per week. You will take freight from pickup to delivery, handling the loading and unloading yourself and keeping customers updated at each stop.

Pay

• $2,000.00 - $2,600.00 per week.

What you'll do

• Run assigned delivery routes on schedule, including over-the-road routes when needed.

• Plan your drive with GPS, inspect the truck, and report maintenance concerns, delays or delivery problems.

• Load, unload and secure freight safely, and confirm it matches the delivery paperwork.

• Follow DOT and FMCSA regulations, plus hazmat rules when dangerous goods are involved.

• Other equipment (refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, tractor-trailers) only when you are assigned to it and properly qualified.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license suited to the vehicle you are assigned.

• A safe driving record.

• Able to handle delivery driving and physically load and unload the truck.

Nice to have

• Delivery or commercial truck driving experience.

• Manual transmission skills where applicable.

• Knowledge of freight handling, route planning and cargo securement.

• Hazmat qualifications for jobs involving regulated materials.
