Our company is looking for a Box Truck Driver to haul freight safely and on schedule across multiple routes out of Fayetteville, NC.
Pay
- $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 per week
- Day shift preferred
- Expect to travel about 25% of the time
What you'll do
- Drive a box truck over short and long distances, planning routes with GPS to hit delivery windows
- Load and unload freight by hand, securing hazardous or dangerous goods per Hazmat rules when required
- Run pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and flag any mechanical problems or paperwork issues
- Keep accurate electronic logs of hours, deliveries and cargo per DOT rules
- Stay in contact with dispatch to coordinate stops and sort out any route or delivery problems
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Solid track record driving box trucks or handling freight deliveries and route logistics
- Familiarity with FMCSA, DOT and Hazmat rules for transporting dangerous goods
- Experience with reefers, flatbeds, tankers or other specialized equipment is a plus
- Comfortable navigating with GPS
- Able to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading freight
- Clean driving history with strong safety habits and compliance with traffic laws
