About this job
Our company is looking for a reliable box truck driver to haul freight on local and over-the-road routes. You will handle loading, route navigation and timely deliveries while following all safety rules.
Pay
- $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week
What you'll haul
- General freight delivered on local and OTR routes
- Possible hazmat, dangerous goods, refrigerated, flatbed or tanker loads depending on need
- Loading and unloading cargo by hand, securing it properly for transport
Requirements
- Experience driving commercial trucks or delivering freight
- Comfortable driving a manual transmission box truck
- Understanding of FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazmat handling standards if applicable
- Able to use GPS for route planning and navigation
- Clean driving record
- Experience with refrigerated units, flatbeds or tankers is a plus
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate delivery logs and compliance paperwork, including hazmat records where relevant
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers to confirm schedules and handle any delivery issues
