About this job
Our company needs a Bakery Truck Driver to get fresh bakery goods to stores on time overnight. You'll handle the truck, the loading and the paperwork, plus a sign-on bonus is offered.
What you'll do
- Drive the delivery truck safely, following road rules and company policy
- Load, unload and secure bakery products so they arrive undamaged
- Check the vehicle each day and flag any issues or repairs needed
- Keep delivery logs, mileage and other records accurate and current
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and teammates to keep deliveries on track
- Follow safety and health guidelines on the job
- Plan your time and routes well to stay on schedule during overnight runs
- Handle minor vehicle upkeep as needed
Schedule
This is an overnight role.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Able to pass a DOT physical
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience safely driving and maintaining a delivery vehicle
- Able to load, unload and secure freight on your own
- Experience keeping delivery logs and mileage records
- Able to lift and carry items up to about 50 lbs
- Comfortable inspecting a vehicle and reporting problems
- Familiar with basic safety and company policy expectations
A plus if you have prior delivery or light truck driving experience, know local road rules well, don't mind overnight hours, communicate well, and have a reliable, responsible work ethic with some basic vehicle maintenance know-how.
