About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time, permanent AZ truck driver in Mississauga, ON. You will move freight along planned routes, keep deliveries on time and look after the cargo.
Pay
- $22.00-$25.00 per hour
What you'll do
- Drive a commercial truck on set routes, and switch to other routes when daily operations call for it
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip
- Keep delivery paperwork and logs accurate
- Handle basic troubleshooting or minor repairs so the truck stays road-ready
- Obey traffic laws, safety regulations and company rules
- Stay in touch with dispatch and warehouse staff about schedules and the status of your load
Requirements
- A valid commercial licence and a clean driving record
- Knowledge of safe practices for heavy equipment and freight handling
- Good organization and attention to detail in your paperwork
- Able to load, unload and handle freight physically
- Freight and commercial driving experience is preferred
- Automotive repair or troubleshooting background is a plus
