About this job
Our company is looking for an AZ driver to move freight between locations in Brampton, Mississauga, Bolton, and Cambridge. You'll be behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle, handling freight, and keeping deliveries on track.
Pay
- $19.50-$21.50 per hour, though some accounts pay by mileage, flat rate, or per kilometer instead
- Expect to work 50 to 60 hours a week
What you'll haul
- General freight, moved along assigned delivery routes
Responsibilities
- Drive a commercial truck safely along your route and follow delivery instructions
- Load, unload, and secure freight, using a forklift when it's needed
- Check your vehicle and load, note any issues, and keep accurate trip records
- Stay in touch with customers and coworkers about delivery status and access
Requirements
- 3 months to 1 year of relevant driving experience
- Comfortable handling freight safely and paying close attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Forklift experience, equipment operation, or basic vehicle repair skills are a plus
