About this job
Our company is hiring AZ shunt drivers directly (not through an agency) for permanent full-time and part-time roles at yards in Ajax and Pickering, Ontario. Pay starts at $23.00 per hour, paid every week by direct deposit.
Shifts
- Full-time, Friday to Monday, 4:00pm to 5:00am (13 hours a day), Ajax yard
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, Pickering yard
- Full-time, Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00pm to 5:00am (11 hours a day), Ajax yard
- Part-time, Saturday and Sunday nights, 5:00pm to 6:00am, Ajax
Pay and benefits
- $23.00 an hour to start, deposited weekly

What you'll do
- Drive the shunt truck around the yard and move loads safely and efficiently
- Do a proper pre-trip check before each shift
- Keep the truck clean
- Follow company rules and policies
- Stay in touch with dispatch
Requirements
- A valid AZ licence with at least 1 year of AZ experience
- Previous shunt experience
- A clean driver abstract and CVOR
- Strong backing-up skills
