AZ Night Shift Doubles Driver — $75,000–$85,000/year

Our company, a FedEx Ground independent contractor, is adding AZ drivers in Woodbridge, Ontario. You would run FedEx trailers on night shift around the GTA, with some interprovincial runs, hauling doubles. This is a full-time, permanent solo position (no teams).

Pay

• $75,000–$85,000 per year, with vacation pay included

Schedule

• 5 to 6 days a week, full time

• Shifts run 8 to 12 hours, with start times between 6:30pm and 9:30pm EST

• Runs and timing can vary

What you'll haul

• FedEx trailers set up as doubles: two pup trailers (28ft) joined by a dolly

• No-touch freight: customers live load or you do drop-and-hook trailer switches

• Local GTA work and/or interprovincial runs

Day to day

• Deliver and pick up trailers on time and keep them secured in transit

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any damage or problems

• Use the Motive ELD plus a mobile trip app and/or phone dispatch

• Tell your supervisor right away about any accident, ticket or issue

Requirements

• At least an AZ licence

• A clean driver's abstract and/or CVOR

• 2 or more years of tractor-trailer experience

• Ability to drive doubles; previous doubles experience is an asset

• A passing criminal background check

• Reliable, punctual, comfortable with technology and able to work on your own
