Our company in Killarney Road, NB is hiring 6 AZ long-haul drivers for permanent, full-time road work, including cross-border runs and mountain lanes. Some trips run as a two-person team or convoy. The company wants drivers to start right away.
Pay
- $32.00 per hour
- Expect 40-70 hours a week, with shifts that can fall in the early morning, evening, night or weekend, plus overtime when the hours run long
What you'll haul
- Mountain routes and international long-haul lanes, driving solo or alongside a partner in a team or convoy setup
What you'll do
- Load, unload, tarp and strap down freight
- Run pre-trip, on-the-road and post-trip checks, plus basic upkeep on the truck
- Deal with roadside breakdowns and minor repairs yourself
- Track your trips in a logbook and stay in touch with dispatch
Requirements
- Class 1 or A licence (AZ class) with an air brakes endorsement
- At least 1 year of driving experience, but less than 2
- A valid passport for crossing the border
- A clean criminal background check and driving history
- Comfortable communicating in English
- No diploma or degree needed
