About this job
Our company is hiring an AZ delivery driver for local routes out of Milton, ON. You work an afternoon/evening shift on a 4-day week and are home every day.
Pay
- Starting at $31.11/hr, plus additional incentives.
- A pay-for-performance incentive program kicks in after 3 months.
- Overtime may be available, and there is profit sharing.
Schedule
- PM shift, with a start time between 4 PM and 7 PM.
- 4-day work week.
- Local routes, so you are home every day.
What you'll do
- Drive straight trucks or trailers on urban, short inter-urban and rural routes.
- Sort and unload food products, then hand-wheel them into customer locations using ramps and sometimes stairs (roughly 600-1000 cases per shift).
- Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep records of routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incidents.
- Check deliveries with the customer and keep invoices in order.
- Provide friendly, reliable service and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1/AZ license and a clean commercial driver's abstract.
- 1 year of professional driving experience.
- Able to lift, stack, pull and carry items up to 80 lbs, repeatedly.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with English fluency.
- Comfortable working in all kinds of weather and road conditions.
