About this job
Our company is hiring a linehaul driver based at its Thunder Bay terminal. You will move freight between terminals on regional overnight runs, and most trips get you home daily or after one night out.
What you'll do
- Pick up and drop off trailers on your runs
- Occasionally handle a small amount of freight at customer locations (about 10% or less physical work, using small equipment or by hand)
- Fill out the paperwork the job requires
- Spend long stretches seated on long-distance drives
Schedule and equipment
- Overnight work with slip seating
- Open board dispatch and mileage-based runs
- Regional routes, home daily or one night out in most cases
Pay
- $65,000–$75,000 per year
- Full-time position
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with air brake endorsement, in good standing
- Experience with a 13 or 18 speed manual transmission
- Two years of highway driving
- Proven history of working nights
- Able to work independently, with a professional and safety-focused approach
