AZ Flatbed Truck Driver — $28.00/hr in Saint John, NB

Our company needs an experienced AZ flatbed driver for local and regional routes out of Saint John, New Brunswick. This is a full-time, permanent position hauling freight on a flat deck tractor-trailer.

Pay

• $28.00 per hour, based on a 48-hour work week

What you'll haul

• Flat deck tractor-trailer freight on local and regional routes

• You'll secure loads yourself with tarps, chains, straps and binders, and handle loading and unloading

What the job involves

• Running pre-trip, en route and post-trip checks on the truck and trailer

• Using GPS to plan and adjust routes

• Keeping logbooks, bills of lading, inspection and trip reports up to date

• Tracking cargo details, hours of service, mileage and fuel use

• Staying in touch with dispatch and flagging any delays or problems

• Following all transport safety rules and regulations

Requirements

• Valid AZ (Class 1) license

• 1 to 2 years of AZ driving experience

• Hands-on experience with flatbed/flat deck equipment

• Clean driving record and CVOR history

• Solid understanding of load securement and safety rules

• High school diploma

• Able to handle physical work (lifting, strapping, tarping) and long hours outdoors in any weather

• Must pass a criminal background check and licence/driving record verification

Helpful but not required: experience with heavy haul loads, tarp and chain systems, Moffett/forklift operation, or electronic logging devices.
