About this job
Our company, a Kitchener-Waterloo area equipment dealer and rental business, needs a truck driver based in Elmira, ON. You will deliver agricultural, turf and construction equipment between store locations and to customer sites, and help load, unload and keep the truck and trailer in good shape.
Pay
- $25 to $35 an hour (CAD)
What you'll do
- Drive company trucks carrying equipment and materials to stores and customers
- Load, tie down and unload equipment following safety procedures
- Inspect the truck and trailer before and after each trip
- Plan deliveries with the Service and Sales teams and keep dispatch, managers and customers posted on timing
- Fill out delivery paperwork, logs and reports accurately and on time
- Help with equipment setup and inspections, basic vehicle upkeep and cleaning, and yard or logistics tasks
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ or DZ licence and a clean driving record
- Proven experience driving commercial trucks and hauling large equipment or loads
- Solid knowledge of load securement and transport safety rules
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, bend and work outdoors in all weather
- Nice to have: experience hauling agricultural, turf or construction equipment, familiarity with John Deere or similar brands, and basic mechanical know-how for minor roadside fixes
