About this job
Our company in Kingston, ON is looking for an AZ/DZ driver to deliver freight on assigned routes. The job mixes driving with loading, unloading and looking after the vehicles and equipment.
Pay
- $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
- Roughly 20 to 60 hours a week
What you'll do
- Run your assigned routes and drop freight at the designated locations, following safe driving practices and delivery instructions
- Load and unload with a forklift or other suitable equipment, and secure the cargo
- Check your vehicle and equipment before and after each trip, report problems, and handle basic repairs or maintenance where appropriate
- Operate heavy equipment when needed and work with colleagues to keep deliveries organized and on time
Requirements
- 5 years of driving experience
- Air brake endorsement
- Safe freight handling, attention to detail and clear communication
- Experience must be verifiable by the company's insurance
Nice to have
- Forklift and heavy equipment operation
- Automotive repair skills
- Past experience with freight, equipment upkeep or delivery teams
