AZ Driver / Field Operator — From $55,000/Year + Overtime

This Sarnia, ON role combines driving heavy industrial equipment with hands-on technical work at customer sites across Canada. You would join the Process & Piping Services team as an AZ driver and field operator, working mostly on rotation at refineries and industrial plants.

Pay

• Salary starts at $55,000 a year, plus paid overtime.

• A field bonus program pays out based on revenue-generating jobs completed on site.

• You also get daily per diems while travelling for field work.

Schedule and home time

• At customer sites (for example Fort McMurray or Eastern Canada): 15 days working, then 6 days off, with 12-hour day or night shifts.

• The company covers all lodging (camps or hotels) and pays a daily meal allowance.

• At the Sarnia base: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shop days.

What you'll do

• About 70% field work: transport nitrogen pumpers, bulkers and transport units, then rig in, connect and pressure-test them at refineries, petrochemical plants and industrial facilities. During customer jobs you run and keep watch over the nitrogen pumping equipment.

• About 20% shop work in Sarnia: inspect, prepare and maintain equipment between deployments.

• About 10% paperwork: commercial and technical documents for Air Liquide PPS, while following all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid AZ / Class 1 licence and a clean driver's abstract (strictly required).

• At least 2 years running nitrogen equipment, pumpers or bulkers.

• At least 2 years in heavy industrial settings such as refineries, petrochemical or power plants, pre-commissioning or maintenance.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and a real interest in hands-on field work.

• Able and willing to travel roughly 70% of the time across Canada.

• Nice to have: CSTS, WHMIS, H2S Alive and TDG certifications, plus a background in civil or mechanical engineering technology, heavy equipment repair, power engineering or technology management.
