About this job
Our company in Brampton, ON is hiring Class AZ drivers for cross-border runs, both solo and team. You will move freight across the border safely and on schedule, working closely with dispatch.
Pay
- $20.81–$36.93 per hour
What you'll do
- Drive Class AZ trucks on cross-border routes, solo or as part of a team, following traffic laws and company policy
- Check the vehicle before and after each trip
- Plan routes with dispatch and let them know quickly about delays or problems
- Load and unload cargo, using a forklift when required, and make sure it is properly secured
- Handle basic repairs or troubleshooting to keep the truck ready on the road
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ licence and one year of long-haul cross-border experience
- Age over 23
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable with freight handling, safety rules and forklift operation
- Good communication with dispatchers, border officials and clients
