AZ/Class 1 Driver Merchandiser — $28.50/hr

Coke Canada Bottling is hiring a Driver Merchandiser in Sydney, NS to deliver, stock and merchandise beverage products at local retail accounts. This is a hands-on route job combining driving with in-store product work.

Pay

• $28.50/h, though a lower rate applies if you're working warehouse hours instead

• Shifts run up to 10 hours/day, up to 40 hours/week, with no hours guaranteed

• Monday to Friday, with possible extra warehouse hours available

What you'll haul

• Pre-ordered beverage products delivered via company fleet truck to assigned retail accounts

Responsibilities

• Inspect and hitch the truck before each route and verify the load is accurate and secure

• Unload product and bring it into customer locations

• Stock, rotate and merchandise product on shelves, racks, coolers and displays

• Move product from the backroom to the sales floor using a pallet jack or hand-truck

• Return company equipment and build good working relationships with store staff

Requirements

• Class 1 or AZ commercial license with air brake endorsement

• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience and 1-3 years of general work experience

• Local delivery background is a plus

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (22 kg) overhead without help, and push/pull loaded equipment 100 yards unassisted
