About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced AZ driver to run a weekly cross-border dump/B-train route out of Woodstock, ON. You'll head out Sunday night or Monday morning and be back by Friday, staying in the truck through the week.
Pay
- From $7,600 a month (also listed as from $3,800.00 bi-weekly)
- Earnings can reach over $100,000 a year on this run
Home time
- Out Monday through Friday, home on weekends
What you'll haul
- B-train dump/bulk trailers
- Freight crosses the Canada-U.S. border
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- 3 years of over-the-road experience, or heavy haul experience preferred
- Clean CVOR and driver's abstract
- Comfortable crossing international borders regularly
- Physically able to climb about 12 feet in and out of dump trailers several times a day
- Able to lift 20 to 25 kg of material repeatedly through the shift
What you'll do
- Perform pre-trip inspections, including releasing the king pin and adjusting dolly legs
- Load and unload bulk and dump freight
- Open and close trailer tarps using a crank system
- Sweep and clean trailers, including removing frozen product
- Remove cross bows from the trailer top as needed
- Handle all logbook, customs and trip paperwork
- Fuel the truck daily and keep the cab clean
- Use an electronic logging device
