About this job
Our company in Schuyler, NE needs a Yard/Shag Truck Driver to shuttle trailers and freight around the facility. Both experienced and new drivers are welcome, with training provided. CDL holders get incentive pay on top of base wages.
Pay
- $16.00 to $24.00 per hour
- Extra incentive pay if you hold a CDL
Schedule
- Second shift: 2pm to 10pm
- Third shift: 10pm to 6am
- Monday through Friday, with Saturdays added when the plant needs it
What you'll do
- Move trailers and freight around the yard using a shag truck
- Complete pre-trip vehicle checks to stay DOT-compliant
- Properly close and seal trailer doors on each move
- Stick to set routes within the yard
- Stay in contact with dispatch and warehouse staff to keep freight moving smoothly
Requirements
- Background in truck driving, ideally yard work or tractor-trailer handling
- Clean driving record
- Understanding of safety rules for freight handling, vehicle checks and road regulations
