Transit Bus Driver (CDL-A/B or Permit) — $4,000 Sign-On Bonus

Our company is hiring fixed-route transit bus drivers in the Tempe, AZ area. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and a hiring event runs November 17th to 19th, 10AM to 3PM, with interviews and offers on the spot.

Pay and bonus

• Pay starts at $22.46 an hour, full-time.

• $4,000 sign-on bonus for drivers holding an AZ CDL Class A or B, or a CDL permit with passenger endorsement.

What you'll do

• Drive a fixed bus route safely while keeping to the schedule, leaving each start exactly on time and never running early.

• Greet riders, answer questions about schedules, and keep them informed during service disruptions.

• Run wheelchair lifts on each bus model and follow ADA procedures.

• Collect fares and tell dispatch about fare evasion or fraud.

• Do pre- and post-trip inspections and record any defects in ZONAR.

• Report accidents, passenger incidents and bunched buses to dispatch right away.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.

• Valid Arizona CDL or CDL permit with DOT card; passenger endorsement preferred.

• Clean driving record and a steady work history.

• Ability to work out of the Tempe or Mesa location, and to cover day, night and overnight shifts.

• Must pass a drug screen, physical and background check, and be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship).

• The role involves long hours of sitting or driving, plus exposure to heat, cold, noise and fumes.
