Shuttle Driver — $21.09/hr, Truro NS

Our company is looking for a Shuttle Driver in Truro, NS to move freight between and within facilities using a non-articulated vehicle. You'll handle loading, sorting and scanning packages, and occasionally help with pickups and deliveries. This is an interview position.

Pay

• From $21.09 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 5:15am to 9:00am

What you'll do

• Load and unload vehicles and containers

• Check that packages match the right size and weight

• Sort packages by service type and destination

• Scan packages with handheld tracking devices

• Keep freight, equipment and vehicles secure and handle packages safely

• Clean and do light maintenance on your vehicle

• Follow airport authority rules and all government and company driving regulations

• Fill in occasionally on emergency pickups or deliveries, up to 10% of your time

• If applicable, manage cargo temperature control, including basic troubleshooting of the unit and following pre/post-trip inspection rules

• Take on other related tasks as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid, fully unrestricted Class 5 or Class G license with a clean driving record (no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months)

• Able to complete required training and recurring certifications

• Able to lift up to 70 lbs on your own, or up to 150 lbs with equipment or help from a coworker

• Strong people skills

• Familiarity with our company Express Canada operations and Canadian customs rules is a plus

• Bilingual in French and English if based in Quebec
