Semi Truck Driver — $24–$28/hr, Farley, IA

Our company in Farley, IA is looking for a Semi Truck Driver to haul freight over the road using a mix of tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and dump trucks. You'll handle loading, deliveries and all the paperwork that comes with keeping freight moving safely and on time.

Pay

• $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers plus specialized equipment: refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers and roll-off/dump trucks

• General freight along with hazardous materials and dangerous goods, handled per HMR and DOT rules

• Mixed cargo types, including refrigerated goods and tanker liquids

What you'll do

• Drive OTR routes, using GPS to plan efficient paths and hit delivery windows

• Load and unload freight by hand or with equipment like forklifts, following safety procedures

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections to catch maintenance or safety concerns early

• Keep accurate records of hours of service, cargo manifests, inspections and delivery paperwork under FMCSA rules

Requirements

• Solid background driving commercial trucks, including route and delivery work

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat regulations

• Comfortable operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers

• Experience with GPS-based route planning for OTR driving

• Able to load and unload cargo safely, by hand or with a forklift

• Background handling different freight types, including hazmat, flatbed or tanker loads

• Strong grasp of DOT safety compliance and hazard management
