Seasonal Pickup and Delivery Driver — Up to 12 Weeks

Our company in Dartmouth, NS is hiring a seasonal route driver for a temporary assignment of up to 12 weeks, depending on business needs. You'll handle pickup and delivery of packages on an assigned route while representing the company to customers.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages safely and on time, keeping a professional appearance

• Load your van and plan your route for efficient stops

• Check packages for proper labelling and make sure paperwork is accurate

• Keep customers supplied with shipping materials and answer their questions about service options, including Canada, US and international requirements

• Use onboard tracking and dispatch systems, entering data correctly

• Report stop counts and any missorted packages

• Pass along sales leads and market information you pick up from customers

• Help with loading, unloading, sorting or scanning at aircraft or containers if your location needs it

• Follow all driving laws and company safety procedures

Schedule

Shift runs Saturday through Wednesday. This is a seasonal role lasting up to 12 weeks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• No prior experience required, though a year of customer service experience is a plus

• Comfortable working with customers

• Valid driver's licence (such as Class 5, G or 1/AZ)

• No more than two violations or accidents on your driving record in the past 24 months

• Candidates are assessed on their driving record, interview, and any required driving tests

• Employees based in Quebec must be fluent in both French and English
