Seasonal Pickup & Delivery Driver — $23.28/hr

Our company in Kentville, NS needs a temporary driver to handle pickup and delivery on an assigned route for up to 12 weeks. This is a seasonal role with set hours and a fixed hourly wage.

Pay

• $23.28 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 9:30 to 18:00

• Seasonal position, up to 3 months in length

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages along your route, inspecting each shipment to make sure it meets our company's service standards

• Load your van and plan your route for efficient stops, keeping packages, equipment and vehicles secure

• Track and report your stop counts and any missorted packages

• Use onboard tracking and dispatch systems, entering information correctly

• Make sure packages are labelled properly and paperwork is accurate, and keep customers stocked with shipping supplies

• Answer customer questions about our company's services, including shipping rules for Canada, the US and internationally

• Pass along sales leads and market information you pick up from customers

• Drive safely, following all government and company rules

• Depending on the location and workload, you may also help load or unload aircraft or containers, and sort and scan packages

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• No prior experience required; a year of customer service experience is a plus

• A valid driver's licence (such as class 5, G or 1/AZ) with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months

• Candidates are assessed on their driving record, interview performance and results from driving evaluations

• In Quebec, you must be bilingual in French and English
