Seasonal Pickup and Delivery Driver — $23.28/hr

Our company in Kentville, NS needs a seasonal route driver to pick up and deliver packages for up to 12 weeks. This is a temporary, interview-based role covering an assigned area.

Pay

• $23.28 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

• Seasonal assignment lasting up to 3 months

What you'll do

• Pick up and drop off packages along your route in a professional, well-presented manner

• Load your van and plan your stops for an efficient route

• Check that packages meet our company's service standards, carry correct labels, and have accurate paperwork

• Keep customers stocked with shipping supplies and answer their questions about our company, US and international shipping rules

• Report stop counts and any missorted packages

• Use the company's tracking and dispatch systems, entering data correctly

• Pass along sales leads and market information you pick up from customers

• Keep company and customer property, including equipment and vehicles, secure

• Follow all driving laws and company safety procedures

• Depending on the location, you may also help load or unload aircraft or containers and scan packages

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• No prior experience required, though a year of customer service experience is a plus

• A valid driver's licence (for example Class 5, G, or 1/AZ) with no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months

• Candidates are assessed on their driving record, interview performance, and results of driving evaluations

• In Quebec, bilingual French and English is required
